Overview
Devis is seeking a Senior Task Manager to join our team in support of the Defense Health Agency (DHA) Business Operations and Executive Support Services (BOESS) contract.

This high-impact role requires strategic leadership, operational oversight, and executive-level client engagement to ensure alignment with DHA’s mission, vision, and strategic goals. As a Senior Task Manager supporting DHA BOESS, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing operational excellence across a mission that directly impacts the health and readiness of our nation’s service members.

This role is contingent upon award and is on site in Falls Church, VA.

Primary Duties
  • Serve as the principal point of contact for government leadership regarding all aspects of task performance, personnel management, and program delivery.
  • Lead talent acquisition, interviewing, and strategic workforce planning to ensure a high-performing team with skills aligned to both legacy and modernization efforts.
  • Oversee team development and capability sustainment to meet evolving mission requirements and long-term program success.
  • Manage cross-functional collaboration across business operations and executive support teams to drive integration, efficiency, and innovation.
  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), resource utilization, project milestones, and deliverable timelines to ensure full contract compliance.
  • Provide thought leadership and strategic insight to government stakeholders, identifying trends, mitigating risks, and recommending operational enhancements.
  • Champion a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement across the program.
  • Perform additional senior-level responsibilities and represent the company in high-level meetings as required.
  • Establish and maintain detailed project schedules, financial forecasts, and resource allocation plans to ensure optimal execution of all contract deliverables.
  • Monitor and enforce contract compliance, ensuring all deliverables meet quality standards and contractual obligations.
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies, identifying potential project constraints and developing mitigation plans.
  • Drive stakeholder engagement and facilitate executive briefings, strategic updates, and operational reporting.
  • Support business development activities including proposal responses, solutioning, and client presentations as needed.
  • Ensure adherence to data privacy, security protocols, and applicable compliance standards in alignment with federal and DoD requirements.

  • Proven executive-level leadership with a history of delivering complex, multi-year federal programs on time and within scope.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building trust and fostering collaboration with senior government officials and internal teams.
  • Deep understanding of government operations, contracting, and program management best practices.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize data, drive insights, and make informed decisions that improve outcomes.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to anticipate challenges, manage change, and navigate ambiguity in a mission-critical environment.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience with project budgeting, cost control, and performance tracking.
  • Ability to lead diverse, geographically dispersed teams in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Expertise in managing complex stakeholder relationships and delivering high-impact executive communication.
  • Familiarity with Agile and traditional project delivery models, and ability to operate in hybrid environments.
  • Ability to develop governance frameworks, SOPs, and escalation protocols to support program success.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience managing federal contracts, including at least 5 years in a Task Manager, Program Manager, or Operations Lead role of comparable size, complexity, and visibility.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage teams supporting both legacy systems and enterprise-level modernization efforts.
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders in healthcare, defense, or related government sectors.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Strong knowledge of program and project management methodologies, tools, and performance measurement frameworks.
  • Proficiency in management tools and systems used by the Defense Health Agency.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Information Systems, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, PgMP, and/or other project management credential.
  • Experience supporting the Defense Health Agency (DHA) or similar federal health organizations.
  • Familiarity with DoD health IT systems, federal acquisition lifecycle, and government reporting requirements.
  • Background in workforce development, change management, and process optimization within government programs.
  • Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) requirements.
  • Agile/Scrum certification or demonstrated experience with agile methodologies.
  • Knowledge of ITIL, Lean Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience in developing executive dashboards, metrics, and visualization tools to support performance management.
Clearance
  • Active Secret Security Clearance is preferred.
Salary Range
  • $135,000 - $153,000
